Collective Consciousness will Win

In the photo with Mr.N.Vasudevan, Addl Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Former Head, Mangrove Cell, Maharashtra) & Friends of The Environment DrChandrakant Jain Aashish Mehta Sanjay Prashar Sanjay Agarwal discussing Biodiversity and their habitats around the Oshiwara Lokhandwala area. This was the day we began desilting Lokhandwala lake.

Had a dream last night...one of the rare dreams I remembered due to its content and woke up with a jolt- a dream with a negative end. The dream: There is a deluge in Mumbai and I am weaving my suv through thigh-deep water and reach the lake in our area, expecting to reach the open entrance of the beautiful lake(where we are standing in this pic). But I am shocked to see a building having been constructed in this open area and construction proceeding towards the lake. I see biodiversity escaping the lake from all sides, including a large python. I woke up with a jolt and realized it was a dream.

Well among the biggest nightmares and causes of stress one can have if you are into conservation which many folks out there are going through day in and day out. Learning to deal with sleepless nights because of one environmental issue or the other has been one of the biggest challenges in my life. These are real daymares which many urban/wild forest conservation heroes are going through day and night, including in Mumbai as many of our earth heroes go about fighting for these last remaining forests. More power to the committed tribe! Sure
